Luton Town v. Burnley, 28 April 1956, last home match of the season: Burnley won 3-2.
Pop down to True Form Shoes, 32 George Street: 'The true test is on your feet'

I wasn't born then, but I was at this match:

Same teams, same ground, same Division 1 (when it actually was the top division), nearly twenty years later, same score! 30th November 1974, Luton 2 Burnley 3 - Luton scorers John Faulkner and Peter Spiring.

Luton also lost 3-2 at home to Burnley in November 2005, and November 1997

Tamla Motown in Luton 1965

In 1965, a Tamla Motown tour of the UK was promoted by Harold Davison & Arthur Howe, featuring The Supremes, Martha & The Vandellas, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Earl Van Dyke Six and Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames. It reached the ABC Luton on 6 April, with two shows at 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm.

The Supremes in 1965: Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson and Diana Ross

According to Pete Frame, 'In April '65, The Supremes walked around town between shows, and dropped down to the Dolphin coffee bar in Waller Street (now crushed under the Arndale Centre) to see where the action was! To their glee, they found disc jockey Hairy Mick Robson playing Tamla Motown records' (Pete Frame, Rockin' around Britain: Rock'n'Roll Landmarks of the UK and Ireland, 1999).
